Recurrent UTIs Treatment
in Naples, FL

At Florida Bladder Institute, our team understands the disruptive impact that recurrent utis can have on your life. These persistent infections go beyond a simple annoyance, often signaling an underlying issue within the pelvic region. Our specialized approach focuses on breaking the cycle of infection by identifying and addressing the root cause, rather than just treating the symptoms.

What Are Recurrent UTIs?

Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) are clinically defined as having two or more infections within a six-month period, or three or more within a year. This condition is not just a series of isolated events but a chronic issue that requires specialized investigation to understand its underlying cause.

Recognizing UTI Symptoms

Why Do UTIs Keep Coming Back?

Recurrent utis can stem from various factors beyond a simple bacterial infection. Common underlying causes include incomplete bladder emptying, anatomical variations, pelvic organ prolapse, or hormonal changes associated with menopause that affect vaginal tissues. In some cases, bacteria may develop resistance or hide within the bladder lining, leading to repeated flare-ups.

Benefits of Urogynecological UTI Care

Break the Cycle of Reinfection

Our primary goal is to interrupt the frustrating pattern of recurring infections. By identifying and managing the root cause, we help reduce the frequency and severity of UTIs, providing you with long-term relief.

Improve Your Quality of Life

Constant discomfort and the anxiety of wondering when the next UTI will strike can be exhausting. Effective management allows you to regain control, reduce pain, and participate in daily activities without worry.

Reduce Reliance on Antibiotics

While antibiotics are necessary to treat active infections, overuse can lead to resistance and side effects. Our strategies aim to prevent infections from starting, thereby minimizing your overall need for antibiotic courses.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution for recurrent utis. We conduct a thorough evaluation to create a care plan tailored to your specific anatomy, health history, and lifestyle for more effective results.

Comprehensive Pelvic Health Assessment

Recurrent utis can be linked to other pelvic floor conditions. Our urogynecological approach assesses your entire pelvic region to ensure all related issues are identified and addressed concurrently.
