A Different Approach to Surgery.
A Better Patient Experience.

When surgery is necessary, Dr. Gauta offers a distinctive approach to minimally invasive pelvic reconstructive surgery. Drawing on his extensive surgical expertise, he utilizes advanced laparoscopic and vaginal techniques without the need for robotic assistance, performing procedures in a specialized outpatient surgery center.

This approach can mean fewer incisions, reduced exposure to hospital-associated infection risks, a more comfortable surgical experience, and significant potential savings compared with hospital-based surgery.

Expert Care for Common & Complex Pelvic Conditions

Pelvic health issues are common, but you don’t have to live with them. Our team has decades of experience diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of urogynecologic conditions, helping women find relief and get back to the lives they love.

A Higher Standard of Care for Women

Choosing a provider for your most personal health concerns is a big decision. At the Florida Bladder Institute, we’ve created a practice centered on expertise, compassion, and balanced health. Here’s why women throughout Southwest Florida and beyond trust us with their care.

Pioneers in Pelvic Health

As one of the first urogynecology practices in the country, we have been dedicated to women’s wellness for two decades.

We are the trusted choice for specialist referrals from doctors across Southwest Florida.

A urogynecologist blends gynecology and urology, providing a complete, holistic approach so you don’t have to bounce between specialists.

Advanced pelvic testing and an in-house lab mean faster, more accurate answers and treatment.

Most problems are treated in our private, comfortable office, which features GStirrup® exam boots for enhanced safety and comfort.

Dr. Gauta operates laparoscopically — typically 1 to 3 small incisions with true tactile feedback, versus 5 incisions and no tactile feedback with robotic surgery.

Our approach means lower cost, lower risk of hospital-acquired infection, and recovery in the comfort of your own home.

We proudly offer advanced services like EMSELLA® for non-invasive pelvic floor restoration — ideal for post-partum recovery, post-surgical strengthening, and lasting freedom from incontinence.

Our team is proud to serve patients in English, Spanish, and Croatian.
